A very interesting piece, as it is difficult to say at one glance what it is, what's the story behind it and what techniques have you used. It almost compels the viewer to stop for a moment and to really, really look at it - and that' exactly what art is about.

This piece has a very common idea behind it: a woman wearing a mask. It's not very original in itself, but the style and the composition you've used make this piece unique. You've used contrasts in an interesting way, with the sharp and detailed flowers on the left side and the blurry eyelashes on the right side. The same is with the eyes, and makes me wonder if you meant to say that only without a mask we can see clearly and sharply?

Your technique is good in that you've used textures well and to your advantage. However to me the softness around the eyelashes of the mask is a bit too much and makes it look smudgy. Perhaps that's just because it's softness right after sharp, broken textures? Still, it somehow steals my attention away from the rest of the painting, even though I don't think that is the main focus point here.

All in all I think this piece is a successful interpretation of a common theme, and shows you can combine styles and textures brilliantly to create something unique. Thank you very much for sharing this work of art with us and for reading my critique, and please keep up the excellent work!
